The men in question are Michael Hammond, David Rhodes and John Taylor.

Hammond is a lifelong Notts fan and is supremely successful in the business industry, with his company Litho Supplies Plc the most successful of its kind in the UK.

Rhodes is a name that will be familar to Notts fans, with the local businessman a former director of the club. He is a regular face around the club, aiding Groundsman Greg Smith in bringing the Meadow Lane playing surface up to such a high standard.

Taylor is a local councillor and is now working as a Regeneration Consultant.

The Supporters Trust were instrumental in all three additions and Trust chair Keri Usherwood was delighted at the news.

"This is a very welcome announcement and will strengthen the Club Board considerably by building on the existing Director arrangements which are already in place," he said in a statement.

"The three new Directors will be able to bring a diverse range of experience and expertise to the running of Notts County as the restructuring of the Club continues over the coming months.

"The Trust has been calling for some time for the Club's Board of Directors to be strengthened and we are pleased that this process is now well underway.

"We believe that these are enterprising appointments by Notts County Football Club and we look forward to further progress being made by the Club towards achieving the strong, sustainable and ambitious football club that supporters desire."

Meanwhile, a strong Notts County side comfortably saw-off local outfit Radford FC last night in a match played to inaugurate the non-league club's new floodlights and fencing.

Goals from Lewis McMahon, Noe Sissoko, Stacy Long and youth-teamer Daryl Hewitt saw the Magpies run-out 4-0 winners.
