Barras: We'd Love Security

Notts future will be decided in today's meeting with the Football League, but the rumour is there is extremely little chance that Notts will be thrown out of the league.

And defender Barras, who was man of the match on Saturday, said it would be nice to have security around the club's future and that he can't wait to sign the two year contact that was origanally agreed this summer.

"It has been hard and it has affected us. We have had to have month-to-month contracts instead of longer-term deals, which we had agreed,"
he told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"It has never crossed my mind to try to go elsewhere, not at all.

"There were other clubs interested in me over the summer, but I turned them down to come here.

"The manager who made the biggest impression on me was Billy Dearden.

"I had an agreement with him and I wanted to keep it.

"I wanted to play for the club and that desire hasn't changed because of anything that has happened since."

Barras also said it will be nice to focus on football again, and thinks that with 2 draws in 2 games, they have turned the corner.

"Hopefully, things will be sorted out now. From a personal point of view it would be nice to get things sorted,"
he said.

"But the same probably applies to all the lads. It will be nice to be able to focus entirely on what is happening on the pitch again.

"Hopefully, this can be a turning point for the club, things will be resolved today and everyone can get on with making this club successful again."

Barras, who's wonder goal was undoubtedly the highlight of Saturday's 1-1 draw against Luton, also said that he hopes that goal won't be his last.

"I would like to get a few more goals this season, although I am not sure all of them will be like that," he said.

"I can't really say much about it, other than I just had a bit of space and thought I would have a pop."
