First indications were that Baraclough had broken his ankle, but after the relief Baraclough had not broken the ankle it came as a huge blow to the club.
However, Baraclough is back months earlier than expected, but Notts fans have been warned Baraclough won't be back in the first team for a while yet.
"Ian has already been doing some light training," said Notts manager Bill Dearden.
"But we are hoping he will do some ball work today. He still has a little way to go, but he is still making remarkable progress and is well ahead of schedule.
"If there are not any further problems it will be three or possibly four weeks before he retains full match-fitness.
"But it is still very good news." added Dearden
Notts fans should not be surprised that Baraclough has come back early, the midfielder stated in the press around a month ago that he is a quick healer.
