But he says that Notts' finincial problems over the past couple of years have not helped their on the field performances.

"You can claim that it doesn't affect you, but it does.
"Obviously you are professional and you have to say it doesn't affect you on the pitch.
"But it bothers you at every other moment.
"You read the paper, you hear what is going off. You worry about things the rest of the time.
"That is the only way you find out anything. Most of the time we are in the dark.
"And of course it gets to you."
Baraclough also says he is encouraged by Derek Pavis' involvement in the latest takeover bid.
"You do get some reassurance when you hear that Derek Pavis is involved, because he has always said he wouldn't see the club die," he said.
"Hopefully that will prove to be the case.
"At least it seems as though something will be sorted out on Monday, one way or another.
"But the prospect of this being the last ever Notts match? That is unthinkable."

And he says the club deserves better than the fortunes it has been suffering.
"The club has actually took a lot of significant steps forward during my time at QPR," he said.
"Things are done much better now, with Billy Dearden and Steve Parkin around.
"And there are a great bunch of lads here. We have a good squad. We would fancy ourselves against most teams in the division, when we are at full strength.
"But it is time things were sorted out off the pitch as well.
"This club deserves a lot better than this - the fans deserve a lot better."
