The good news is the ankle is not broken, following an x-ray Baraclough had on Saturday night showed there was no serious damage to the bone.

Boss Billy Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post;
"Ian went for an x-ray straight after the game and it showed there wasn't any bone damage," he said.
"We had feared that there was a break initially, which is why his leg was put in a splint.
"It is obviously good news that it is not broken, but we still have to wait to see what the damage is.
"We won't be able to do that until he undergoes further tests, which won't be possible until the swelling goes down."

The swelling could take some time to go down, and Baraclough is definitly out of the trip to Port Vale tomorrow night, and likely to miss the games over the next few weeks as well.

This comes as a huge blow to both player and club, as Baraclough gave another efficent performance in the centre of midfield with Darren Caskey.

Baraclough was initially signed to be the regular left back at Notts, but following a suspension last season Kevin Nicholson game into the position, and has made it his own ever since. And following Richard Liburd's injury, Baraclough has been filling in on the left wing and in the centre of the midfield.
