Baldry Back On Comeback Trail

The former Huddersfield winger’s time on the sideline was a quite lengthy one – considering that he is yet to play under Gary Mills – after the injury to this thigh had kept him out since January’s 5-2 drubbing at London Road – Bill Dearden’s last game at the helm.

But Baldry is now very much in contention for a place in the starting XI this coming Saturday in one of the most important battles against relegation – against 22nd placed Stockport County.

The winger’s recent omission from first-team proceedings due to the injury has meant that the ever-changing strike force has been mainly self sufficient in providing ammunition and with the creative flair of Baldry, Caskey and now Tony Scully and Stefan Oakes amidst the ranks, goals should not be too hard to come-by.

Should Baldry start against Stockport, it will be his first since putting pen-to-paper on a new eighteen month contract in early January, and his 22nd league start of the campaign
