Bad News for Bolland

Paul Bolland could be out until next year, it was announced today.

Bolland took a knock on his foot last Saturday in the 2-2 draw against Mansfield which resulted in him having to be withdrawn from the action with just 30 minutes of the controversial derby played.

A scan revealed that Bolly had broken a bone in his foot, which will keep him out of action for about 6 weeks. That is just the news Billy didn’t want after 7 of his first team players didn’t go training and with Ian Richardson also suspended for Saturday’s tie with Southport it means Deaden will probably have to make more changes to his team already shuffled first team.

Bolland has been very influential in the midfield this season, along with Michael Brough he has been the ball winner in the middle of the park, making many important tackles and getting stuck in when many others weren't. We need to have a ball winner because when Caskey plays in the midfield he’s not one for really getting stuck in, therefore it’s vital we have Bolland – or someone like him – in the side.

The only good news to come out of today is the return of Ian Baraclough who will probably be put straight into Saturday’s side to face Southport.
