Notts Celebrate Mark Stallard's Opener Against Cardiff In A Rare Away Win For The Magpies
Just 18 points have been picked up on the road this season from 23 away league games, with Notts winning just three matches which is equally the worst in the division along with relegated Northampton and Mansfield. Strangely those three wins came against sides starting with the letter C, as Notts recorded victories at Crewe, Cheltenham and Cardiff.

9 draws were also recorded as Notts took a share of the spoils from Barnsley, Stockport, Luton, Chesterfield, Tranmere, Blackpool, Brentford, Oldham and Colchester.

Notts also went out of the Worthington Cup and FA Cup away from home, with Notts slipping up 3-2 at Oldham in the Worthington and 4-2 to Southport in the FA.

Billy Dearden was quick to point out after the Peterborough defeat on Saturday that the away points total has not been good enough, despite a promising start to the season on the road which saw Notts unbeaten away until mid September.

"We've only won three games away from home all season and that isn't good enough." Dearden told the club's website.

"And we've drawn too many games at home as well as away and that's something we need to improve on next season." added Dearden.
