Armstrong-Holmes remains Chairman

County Chairman John Armstrong-Holmes will remain in the hot seat after the majority of Supporters' Trust members voted against ending his tenure.

By no means was it plain sailing, however, with 155 putting their support behind the proposed vote of no confidence, opposing the 210 that did not.

Similar figures were also registered in attempts to remove him from the Trust and Club board respectively.

Director Eric Kerry also survived all three votes meaning that there will be no change in those steering the Magpies ship.

Armstrong-Holmes spoke to the Nottingham Evening Post following the meeting.

He said: "I am heartened by the support of the Trust members but disappointed it came to this in the first place.

"I hope it is the end of it now and we can start to look forward, because it has been very damaging to the club.

"It would have been catastrophic for this club if there had been a different outcome. Where would that have left the club?"

The Care About Notts pressure group, who played a huge role in petitioning for the duo's positions to be reconsidered, are expected to make a statement later today.
