The French striker, who has been somewhat of a rolling stone since falling out of favour at the City Ground, caught the eye of manager Gary Mills on Tuesday in a practice-match and, as the clubs official site revealed today, the 21-year-old has become the latest addition to the Magpies’ squad today after agreeing a short-term deal at the ‘Lane.
Since parting company with F*rest in the July 2003, Antoine-Curier has played for four different clubs at different points this season, making 21 appearances scoring 4 goals – three-in-three consecutive appearances at Oldham whilst just one for Rochdale.
As is the case with Stefan Oakes and Steve Scoffham, Curier will be eligible for selection for Saturday’s crucial six-pointer with Stockport.
