Pace: Forte has the speed to terrify League Two defenders.
Notts have today snapped up Scunthorpe United striker, Jonathan Forte on a month long loan deal.

The 22-year-old forward, who can also operate on the flanks, has found himself out of favour this season at the Iron, despite featuring 38 times in the Championship last term.

He began his career at Sheffield United, where he was seen as a hot prospect, but following loan spells with Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United, he joined Scunthorpe in 2007.

Despite his youthfulness, Forte has appeared on 141 occasions in the league, scoring on 18 occasions.

Electrifying pace is the Barbados international's finest attribute, and it is likely to be tested alongside Delroy Facey over the next few weeks.

Speaking to the club's official website, Ian McParland appeared excited by his latest recruit, saying: "Jonathan is a terrific addition to our squad."

"He is young, quick and he has a variety of qualities to bring to our frontline.

"We're delighted he has agreed to join us - and we're very grateful to Nigel Adkins and Scunthorpe United for allowing him to come here."

Forte is vying for a start in this weekend's game away at Barnet.
