'The Notts County Supporters Trust is pleased to announce “An Audience with Derek Pavis”, which will take place on 4th February in the County Suite at Meadow Lane, commencing at 7.30pm.
|
Derek Pavis succeeded Jack Dunnett as Chairman of Notts County in 1987, a role he retained until the new millennium. During that time the Club experienced the ‘highs’ of two successive promotions to reach the top flight under Neil Warnock and the record-breaking 1997/98 Division 3 Championship winning season and ‘lows’ of three relegations and a number of managerial changes.
Mr. Pavis will be joined by a fantastically loyal servant of the Club, John Mounteney, who served as vice-chairman for many years and is a member of the Blenheim Consortium, which helped save the Club from extinction in 2003. Colin Slater, who has reported and broadcasted on Notts County since 1959, will be the MC.
This really is an evening that must not be missed by any supporter who wants to hear the stories from the man that led our great club for many years. There will also be an opportunity for supporters to put questions to Derek and John.
Tickets for the event are £3 for Trust members and £4 for non-members. Price includes a chip butty. Tickets can be purchased from the Trust desk in the club shop on match days or contact Ken Carter on 07810 801023.'
