Almost There!

Notts scraped past Blackpool in every sense of the word. Even Danny Allsopp's 46th minute penalty had to creep in off the underside of the bar. Deep defending meant that Blackpool were given plenty of opportunites to attack but they were reduced to just two shots on target.

Meanwhile Bury went down to two late goals at Bristol City. An 85th minute goal by bell and a last minute effort by Peacock provided a huge relief for the Magpies.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth could only manage a 0-0 draw at Port Vale.

Northampton came back from 1-0 down to thump Wycombe 4-1 and Lee Jones netted 5 goals for Wrexham against already relegated Cambridge. But the result irrelevant as the wins for the Pies and the Cobblers confirmed their relegation.

As the table stands, Bury are three points behind Notts with two games left. However, their inferior goal difference means that they will need 4 points to overtake County.

Bournemouth are 6 points behind Notts with a similar goal difference and will need to win both games to finaish above Billy Dearden's men.

Remaining fixtures:
Notts County - Cardiff (a), Huddersfield (h)
Bury - Colchester (h), Peterborough (a)
Bournemouth - Chesterfield (h), Wrexham (a)
