Allsopp Completes Hull Switch

Allsopp was signed by Jocky Scott in December 2000 for £300,000 after previously having two loan spells at Meadow Lane, and all in all he scored 55 goals for Notts, with his last coming on Saturday against Cheltenham Town.

He has signed a 3 year deal with Peter Taylor's side, who are aiming to finally get promotion from Division 3 next season after 2 seasons of not living up to their potential.

The Aussie scored 28 goals for Notts last season, and picked up the clubs "Player of the Season" award after his goals fired Notts to safety after looking doomed at one point. He hit 2 hat-tricks during his time at Notts, both last season, against Tranmere and Mansfield.

This season, he has struggled for form and has had to contend with a number of injury problems and added to that he has been playing on the right wing on a number of occasions instead of up front.

12 goals is still a respectable tally in a struggling side, including a brace at Crewe Alexandra in Notts' 3-0 win at The Alex in August.

Thanks to Danny for his efforts since signing for Notts County, and all the very best at Hull City.
