Allsopp Back To Form Of Old

The striker hit 29 goals last season, and the Aussie started the season in superb form by hitting a double in the 3-0 win at Crewe.

However, it took him around a month before he hit the back of the net again, with a deflected effort at Luton. Since then the striker has looked as lively as he did last season.

Since the Luton game he has been back to his best, he scored at Port Vale and gave a decent display against Cardiff and followed that up with a double at Cheltenham on Saturday and he seems to have refound his confidence he had early in the season.

Allsopp has been a regular at Notts since signing in November 2000, and many fans saw Allsopp and Stallard as the partnership to fear, but Paul Heffernan has rose from the reserves to push the pair very hard and the Irishman has been in excellent form leaving the fans to ponder on what is the best strike pairing.
