Turmoil at Meadow Lane
In an open letter to the County fans the American businessman has urged everybody concerned with the troubled club to pull together to help ease the financial turmoil at Meadow Lane and back the players in their bid to beat the drop to the third division.

"Success on the pitch and in the running of the club over the coming months would no doubt ease some of the pain, but at the moment you must feel somewhat bruised by your relationship with the club," said Scardino.

"We will be working very hard to repair the damage, and though we can't cure the problems overnight, we will move along as quickly as we can to get things back to a healthy state.

"Our club celebrates its 140th anniversary this year. The history and the future of Notts County football club belongs to all of us, and over the coming months everyone involved will have a chance to reclaim a piece of the ownership.

"We have a lot of work to do to bring things right."
