Dons striker Knight, 25, contributed two fine finishes as they saw off a defensively poor Lincoln side on Sunday.

Knight....5 goals this season
His first a neat finish from twelve yards and the second from a one-on-one with Imps keeper Alasn Marriott capped an impressive display for the divisions early pace setters.

Knight arrived in Bedfordshire from Swansea City in January 2007 with a great reputation.

Scoring 15 goals in 28 appearences for the Swans, the nippy front man is proving his quality again after dropping down a level.

With five goals to his name already this campagn, he is looking like a candidate for the golden boot come May.

Scoring just once in the the second half of last season menat he struggled for a place in the Don starting eleven last term, but new found faith from boss Paul Ince, has sop far been rewarded.

He was the shining light in MK's routine 4-0 win over the Imps and well worth his player of the weekend scoop.
