24 hours to decide midfield duo’s future

With the future of the duo currently in the balance – along with player-boss Richardson and striker Steve Scoffham – with their respective contracts set to expire at the end of the season, the club must decide whether or not to keep the pair, who have made no fewer than seventy league starts between them over the course of the season for Notts.

However, with both Oakes and Bolland set to open talks with Richardson and Howard Wilkinson over the next twenty-four hours, it seems as though the uncertain situation could well be resolved in the very near future.

With goalkeeper Saul Deeney having already been offered a new deal, however, it now seems that the club are now willing to decide on the long term future of both Oakes and Richardson.

Oakes, in particular, is a player that Magpies fans are desperate to keep.
