Notts County

Return of the Rob
Notts County player/boss Ian Richardson again has a depleted squad to choose from - after seeing his transfer hopes scuppered for yet another week.

However, this is not to say that Richo doesn't have one or two tough decisions to make around the team.

The Magpies welcome back midfield maestro Paul Bolland (illness) and 'the only fit left back' himself Rob Ullathorne (suspension).

Club captain Mike Whitlow (knee) has joined long-term absentees Mike Edwards (cruciate), Richardson (knee) and Steve Scoffham (broken leg) on the sidelines. Apart from these four, however, Richardson has a full roster of players to choice from.

Youngster Shane McFaul will be in contention for a starting place after starring as a substitute during last weekend's 0-0 draw at Southend.

Meanwhile, Richardson has to choose between guile and graft in midfield as Bolland, Matthew Gill and Stefan Oakes fight it out for the two spots in the centre of the field.

One of the so-called 'flying wingers' Chris Palmer and Tony Scully may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Notts (probable): Deeney; McFaul, Wilson, Baudet, Ullathorne; Pipe, Bolland, Gill, Palmer; Hurst, Gordon.

Subs (from): Henderson, Friars, Oakes, Scully, Williams, Harrad.

Scunthorpe

Scunny manager Brian Laws - an ex F*rest player - is again expected to name an unchanged squad.

Laws is without midfielder Nathan Stanton for the season, but has no other injuries to contend with.

The Iron will, ofcourse, have ex Pie Ian Baraclough lining up in midfield, while ex Notts loanee Steve Torpey - sent off in the clubs previous encounter - has now completed his suspension and will start in attack.

Scunthorpe
(from): Musselwhite, Byrne, Crosby, Butler, Ridley, Sparrow, Baraclough, Kell, Beagrie, Hayes, Rankine, Torpey, Taylor, Evans, Jackson, Williams.
