Team News...Vs Rushden & Diamonds

Notts manager Gary Mills hopes he is able to name an unchanged line-up for the third game in succession for only the second time since taking over as Notts County manager back in January.

Oakes: A doubt
But the Magpies manager does have one major doubt for the encounter. And, as luck would have it, that doubt is our best player in recent weeks, Stefan Oakes.

Playmaker Oakes has once again tweaked the groin that kept him out for two months at the start of the campaign, and his chances of making tomorrow's fixture are rated as no more than 50/50.

Should the former Leicester midfielder be unable to make the encounter, though, Mills does have options. Unfortunately, the one he is most likely to take would be to recall transfer-listed Matt Gill to the starting line-up to partner Paul Bolland.

I'm sure most Notts fans will agree that the Gill/Bolland pairing was one we weren't looking forward to seeing again.

Bosnian midfielder Fahrudin Kuduzovic, David Pipe and Shane McFaul may also be in with a good shout of filling the midfield vacancy should it arise.

Elsewhere, Glynn Hurst and Gavin Gordon will look to continue their blossoming partnership upfront, with Matty Williams and Chris O'Grady waiting in the wings.

Notts (probable): Deeney; Wilson, Baudet, Whitlow, Ullathorne; Scully, Bolland, Oakes, Palmer; Hurst, Gordon.

Subs (from): Mildenhall, Friars, Pipe, Gill, Kuduzovic, McFaul, Williams, O'Grady.
