Team News...vs Mansfield Town

Notts County boss Gudjon Thordarson has no new definate absentees as he looks to stretch his five match unbeaten run as County boss.

Midfielder Matthew Gill, left back Rob Ullathorne and wide-man David Pipe all picked up knocks during Saturday's 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers, though should all be fit to face the Stags.

Pipe's thigh injury, though, is believed to be the most serious and should the Welshman not be fit, Stacy Long is expected to step in for only his second ever league start.

"They're not good enough"
The trio have all been included in the squad that travels to Field Mill, though Thordarson has added Shane McFaul and Ruben Zadkovich as a precaution.

That takes the squad count up to 19, with Mike Whitlow and Ian Richardson again the only men out injured for the Magpies.

Thordarson could opt to name an unchanged line-up from the team that defeated Bristol, though midfielder Lewis McMahon is pushing for a starting spot after impressing as a substitute. The ex Sheffield Wednesday man could replace Chris Palmer on the left wing.

Mansfield old-boy Andy White will have to settle for a spot on the bench against his former club, while another ex Stag, Kevin Pilkington, will be hoping to keep up his good form against the club he served for half a decade.

Stags boss Carlton Palmer is likely to make one or two changes to the team that drew 2-2 at Boston on Saturday.

The Radio Nottingham favourite could well include himself in the starting line-up for the first time since the opening day, whilst winger Simon Brown is expected to replace Gavin Peers as Mansfield look to extend their hoodoo over the Magpies, who have lost the last three encounters between the two teams.

Notts (probable): Pilkington; O'Callaghan, Baudet, Wilson, Ullathorne; Pipe, Gill, Edwards, McMahon; Hurst, Scoffham.

Subs (from): Marshall, Martin, McFaul, Palmer, Zadkovich, Long, Gordon, White.
