Notts County: Striker Paul Heffernan completes the three-match ban he was given after being sent off in the defeat by Peterborough last month. The Irish under-21 international has already sat out of the 1-0 win and 3-1 defeat against Chesterfield and Rushden & Diamonds, repectively.

Paul Heffernan - will not feature
Veteran defender, Ian Richardson, tough tackling midfielder Paul Bolland and striker Clive Platt have all picked up slight knocks during the 3-1 defeat at home to Rushden on Tuesday.

Simon Baldry may be given a run out after coming through treatment to an ankle injury which was aggravated in midweek after picking up a knock in the Magpies first victory of the season against Chesterfield.

However, all four players look set to be included for the tie.

Notts County (from): Mildenhall, Jenkins, Nicholson, Richardson, Barras, Fenton, Livesey, Bolland, Baldry, Baraclough, Brough, Caskey, McFaul, Stallard, Platt, Garden, Deeney, Hackworth, Riley.

Tranmere: Eugene Dadi is set to serve the final match of a three-game suspension which he picked up earlier in the campaign.

Defenders Shane Nicholson (toe) and Tyrone Loran (hamstring) felt no recurrence of their injuries during Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Bristol City.

Manager, Ray Mathias, may give striker Chris Dagnall another chance after he impressed on his debut at Ashton Gate.

However, Iain Hume [hamstring], who I mentioned in the preview to the match, looks doubtful to miss the fixture after pickinge up a hamstring injury during midweek.
