On the back of a match in which injuries could so very easily have ravaged the club’s mini cup run, Ian Richardson may well see the trip to the Vetch as very much as was – even despite the return of key players.

Starting on a downer, however, Notts look likely to be without French defender, Julian Baudet who’s still recovering from a calf injury whilst Mike Whitlow, who lead very much by example on Wednesday at the back, is also a certainty – according to Ian Richardson today – for the sidelines after he called in sick with tonsillitis yesterday morning.

The Magpies will also be another experienced defender short, with Rob Ullathorne continuing to be dogged by a groin injury that has kept him out for some time now. Ian Richardson will also be without Ian Richardson, who saw a surgeon this week regarding his knee injury.

Meanwhile, Shane McFaul, Glynn Hurst and Stef Oakes all return to fitness following injury. Whether any, or even one, of them returns to the side, however, remains to be seen…
