Hartlepool

The on-form home side have Gavin Strachan (son of Gordon) after the midfielder had been out with a back injury recently.

However, Hartlepool manager Neale Cooper- a contender for Div.2 manager of the season- has a decision to make as Strachan's replacement, the on loan Neil Danns, has been putting in some impressive displays in midfield in Strachan's absence.

Cooper is without Michael Nelson who has a stress fracture in his foot, and Andy Jordan who has a shin injury.

The home side have striker Adam Boyd, who strangely had to go on-loan to Boston before re-discovering his goal-scoring touch, on fire at the moment since he returned. Fellow striker Eiffon Williams is also a danger.

Notts County

The only injuries Mills has to cope with is thumb injury victim, goalkeeper Steven Mildenhall (left) and winger Tony Scully, who has an ankle injury. Both players are expected to play no further part in the season.

David Pipe, ofcourse, is available after completing his permanent switch from Coventry on Thursday.

The biggest selection headache for Mills is that of who will partner Paul Heffernan in attack. With Scully out, Andy Parkinson is expected to play on the left wing which rules out one contender. However, Mills still has Steve Scoffham, Matty Williams and teenage David McGoldrick fighting for the spot.

McGoldrick was the surprise inclusion for the game on Monday agaisnt Sheffield Wednesday but didn't look quite ready and Scoffham came on for him early in the Second half in-place of him, with Williams again left sitting on the bench.

The former Man U striker, however, is probably slight favourite for the vacant berth after turning in another impressive display for the reserves in mid-week.

Notts (probable): Garden, Pipe, Fenton, Barras, Richardson, Baldry, Bolland, Oakes, Parkinson, Heffernan, Williams.

Subs (from): Deeney, Baraclough, Bewers, Riley, Briggs, McHugh, McGoldrick, Scoffham.
