After an afternoon of both clubs working together to raise more than £500 for Darlington FC - who are struggling against administration - a minority of Barnsley fans caused over an estimated £1,000 worth of damage to seating in the away stand at Meadow Lane during the Division Two clash between the two sides on Saturday January 31st and Notts now believe that Barnsley should contribute towards the cost of repair.
"The events clearly showed the two sides of football," said Trust Chairman David Hindley.
”While supporters came together to raise much-needed cash to help Darlington, a small minority of the Barnsley contingent decided to smash up seats and leave Notts with the bill.

The Football League says such incidents fall outside of their regulations.
