"A benefit match has been arranged between two teams of stars from Notts and Forest's past to be held on Sunday 5th October at Meadow Lane. The event sponsored by 106 Century FM and backed by the Nottingham Evening Post will commence at 2pm with the match starting at 3pm. It is intended to make the day a family fun day and enable the people of Nottingham to contribute while
being entertained.

All monies raised on the day will go to help Notts County Supporters Trust raise the £250, 000 needed to ensure the financial security of the club before the 9th December. Entrance will cost £5 for adults with concessions at £2.

Players committed so far include Charlie Palmer, Steve Cherry, Tommy Johnson
and Dean Yates for Notts while for the Reds Nigel Clough, Gary Mills and
Gary Birtles will be making an appearance. Further names will be announced
next week as the players confirm availability.

There will also be the once in a lifetime opportunity for two fans of each
side to participate with their heroes. Details of how these places can be
obtained will be on 106 Century FM next week."
