Who knows? But supporters' minds have been taken off such trivial matters in the past two days, with messageboard debates raging as to what song should be crackling through the dodgy PA system when the players' emerge from the tunnel at the 'Lane.

After appealing for Magpies fans' to send in their suggestions two weeks ago, the powers-that-be have now decided on a final shortlist of eight songs.

The club had released a choice of seven songs initially, but after fierce campaigning on the NCM messageboard, eventually agreed to add Classical tune O Fortuna by Carl Orff.
