Shrewsbury Town... In Focus

I only know one Shrewsbury fan, but even he'd agree: The Shrews are one of those teams, they're not going up and they're not going down.

Peters...In charge
Won 6, drawn 8, lost 6 tells the story. Distinctly average.

It would be wrong to write them totally out of a play-off place but it would be equally surprising as them playing Conference football next term.

Michael Symes and Ben Davies have provided goals in a season that has seen highs and lows for the fans from Gay Meadow.

A spell that particularly sticks out is Shrews' run of three straight bore draws against Torquay, Wycombe and Hereford respectively, in a run that saw them go five games without a goal.

On the other hand, a well fought 1-1 draw with league leaders Walsall and 3-0 wins at Hartlepool and Stockport gave the fans something to cheer about.

Manager: Gary Peters

League position (as of December 14th 2006): 15th

Top goalscorer: Michael Symes with ten.

Davies...Star player

Goals Scored: 30

Goals Conceded: 23

Player of the season so far: Goal scoring midfielder Ben Davies has been The Shrews most dangerous weapon.

Against Notts: Just a point for the Magpies at home against Shrewsbury. Man of match Derek Asamoah set up Davies just after the break before Edwards levelled for Notts just after. Thommo's men take to the turf of Gay Meadow on a Tuesday night in February.

Drapes' Prediction: A generous 10th from the main man Drapes.
