Little... Found it difficult

Manager: The well-travelled Brian Little is the latest man to try his luck at changing the fortunes of the faltering Welsh side, but he hasn't been able to prevent what looks a certain exit out of the Football League. Little, who has managed at the very top of the game with the likes of Aston Villa, Leicester City and Wolves, took over from Brian Carey in November with the prospect of relegation already likely, and despite making numerous moves in the transfer market he hasn't halted the slide. Despite that, Racecourse Ground chiefs still offered him a new two-year deal just last week, which he accepted, vowing to bring them back into League Two at the first attempt, as and when the inevitable becomes a reality.

Top scorer: Michael Proctor has found the net a respectable eleven times, in a side with the worst strike record in the division, Notts just above them on that front. The 27-year-old has featured prominently from the bench at times, and seems to pop up with the odd important goal, although not as many as the Welshmen would have hoped for this term.

Strengths: The fact that Little will ensure his side will not give up until safety
Proctor... Top scorer with eleven
is mathematically impossible will mean Notts will still be in for a difficult task in what is also a vital afternoon for Ian McParland's men. Little is also set to give a run out to some of the clubs youngsters, meaning their enthusiasm, and the unknown factor they will provide, will make it a difficult afternoon regardless of Wrexham's plight this season.

Weaknesses: They are bottom of the table for a reason. They neither score enough goals, or keep enough clean sheets, it is as simple as that. But goalscoring is without a doubt there main problem. With just 32 goals in 42 games, the Red Dragons were always going to be in a relegation scrap. If Notts continue there recent good defensive record, a clean sheet is very probable.

Best win: 1-0 v MK Dons, Racecourse Ground. January 19, 2008.

Worst defeat: 4-1 v MK Dons, Stadium: MK. April 8, 2008.

In-form player: It is difficult to find anyone considering Little's men have hit one of their worst patches of form of the season, and at the most critical time.

Player of the season: Again, this is a tough one, but long-serving full-back
Spender... Consistent
Simon Spender deserves a great deal of credit for his individual consistent displays. Good on the ball and excellent in the tackle, Spender has lacked nothing by the way of enthusiasm and determination as the season has progressed, unlike many of his team mates. He is one of few who may stay in the Football League, as he is likely to be a target for some League Two clubs who could do a lot worse that this dependable right-back.

Relegation history: Wrexham's likely relegation will be the first time they have dropped out of the Football League since there admission from Wales 87 years ago.
