NCM picks versus Dagenham & Redbridge

Goalkeeper
- Remains only one choice as Kevin Pilkington continues to generally perform well. Besides, now is not the time to start blooing young deputy Tim Sandercombe.

Defence
- Gary Silk has been woefully short of form and needs to be dropped as he is allowing the opposition at least two good chances a game at the minute. However, is likely replacement, Lee Canoville, has fared little better at times this season so moving captain Adam Tann there would be NCM's pick. That would allow less square pegs in round holes as Stephen Hunt can move from left back to his preferred centre back role, and Austin McCann from left wing to his preferred left wing role. Krystian Pearce must start at centre back.

Midfield
- NCM chose Lawrie Dudfield as a right winger in this very feature earlier in the season, spotting his potential as a player who works har dfor the team and can create things from deep. And the striker has proved NCM right with some decent performances there. Richard Butcher is starting to show what he is about in the middle but Neil MacKenzie should partner him rather than holding player Matt Somner. Butcher and MacKenzie have rarely been used together but they showed they can do it in the second half agains Shrewsbury. Both can play but Butcher isn't afraid to tackle, and they will be fine together. They are the two best central midfielders available and so should start. On the left, with McCann back at full back, Myles Weston can return to once again try and take that slot after his latest injury setback. Before that he was performing well, and he can vbe a real outlet for the Magpies.

Strikers
- Spencer Weir-Daley and Jason Lee have started the last two games but NCM would replace the poor Lee with Hector Sam who seems to cause far more trouble than Lee. Either way, Notts clearly need to add another striker to their ranks.
