NCM picks v Wycombe

Goalkeeper
- Finally some competition! Perhaps for the very first time this season there is a genuine case for two keepers to start. Kevin Pilkington had a clean run until his injury, but now he is fit. However, the form of loanee Russell Hoult has been impressive, just as impressive as Pilkington's before his injury. However, a lack of match fitness for Pilkington in a crucial game makes it a slightly easier choice. Hoult to start.

Defence
- The back four has been the one place on the pitch that has consistently performed to very good levels. But it doesn't make the selection process any easier for tomorrow. In the centre it possibly is, with Michael Johnson and Mike Edwards automatic choices with their quality and experience. But the full-back positions are a dilemma. At right-back Lee Canoville's mistake at Wrexham last week proved costly, yet he was superb a week before against Accrington. Adam Tann has been a regular across the backline for most of the season but a recent injury hasn't helped. Is he fit enough? He should be as he has been a sub of late, so NCM would stick him in as he is less error-prone. At left-back Stephen Hunt has performed well enough, but Paul Mayo was a solid second half performer at Wrexham, and as a more natural full-back he should start here.

Midfield
- In a game you have to win you must attack and therefore Notts boss Ian McParland should play his best attacking players, his potential matchwinners. For me that would be to re-introduce Wayne Corden on the right wing. Corden started his loan spell well but has faded but will be up for this one with no contract in place for next season. Corden can create and score. On the left Myles Weston is in good form, and is a real danger while Richard Butcher has to play as the leading scorer. Despite a couple of poor showings, Neil MacKenzie is another potential match winner, so he should keep his place particularly as Jay Smith and Gavin Strachan are injured.

Strikers
- Jason Lee has started the last few games but hasn't done himself justice. The same can be said of Danny Crow, infact of all Notts' strikers this season. However, Crow remains a likely scorer and always finds himself with chances so must start once more. Alongside him Lawrie Dudfield has been robust from the bench in his return and his willing running and creativity may carve open the Chairboys. He also linked well with Crow on the latters original debut against Bury earlier in the season.
