NCM picks v Barnet

Goalkeeper
- Once again a simple choice as there is only one available. With Kevin Pilkington and Tim Sandercombe out, Russell Hoult will again get the gloves, but a clean sheet is vital for Hoult who hasn't covered himself in glory so far.

Defence
- In a back four formation NCM believe McParland should line up with Adam Tann at right back, Mike Edwards and Michael Johnson inside and Paul Mayo on the left. Austin McCann is moving in the summer, and should only be back up therefore, wile Stephen Hunt was poor on his return to the side last week. Johnson has to start, it is pointless having someone of his class and experience on the bench, while Mayo hit form at Macclesfield. Lee Canoville is out, but had he been fit he should only make the bench anyway.

Midfield
- Ali Gibb has had enough time to show what he can do and hasn't done enough. That leaves the wide right area looking thin so top scorer and thorough professional Richard Butcher may have to play slightly out of position on the right where he has, in fact, done an admiral job in the past. That would allow a return for the mercurial Neil MacKenzie who should start as he is a matchwinner. With Gavin Strachan still doubtful Jay Smith will play with him as he has shown some tigerish tendencies of late. If Strachan was fit NCM would be inclined to play with him and MacKenzie. Myles Weston is a doubt, but should he be fit is one of the first names on the teamsheet after showing some potential to be a dangerous winger of late. If he misses out NCM would go with Mayo here and Hunt at left back to keep the balance.

Strikers
- Danny Crow and Ryan Jarvis have impressed many and both have a goal each in their three games together so far. They have looked a lot more dangerous than any other pairing so far for Notts this term and have to continue.
