MK Dons...In Focus

Last updated : 19 December 2006 By Gary Moss

MK Dons fans will be hoping to bounce straight back up to League One following two successive relegations seeing them drop from the Championship to the depths of League Two.

Allen...Barking
Danny Wilson has been replaced by Martin Allen and things look positive for the Dons. Third in the table at present and due to move into their new 30,000 all seating capacity stadium, next season.

With just one league defeat in the last seven, Allen has seen his side storm right up into the top three.

The main worry for the Buckinghamshire side will be defensively though, having conceded more goals than any other side in the league's top ten.

But, what the Dons lack at the back, they certainly make up for up top. With sixteen goals to his name, Izale McLeod leads the scoring charts for a third season running. The fans favourite is fast approaching fifty goals for the club.

Jon Paul-McGovern, Lloyd Dyer, Clive Platt and Aaron Wilbraham have also starred in the Dons forceful start to life in League Two.

With not much to pick between the Dons home and away form, it is exactly this consistency factor that could see Milton Keynes hold their place at the top end of the table until the end of the season in May.

On the other hand, stupid home defeats against the likes of Chester and Hereford may be the reason that the Dons aren't in the mix of a title bid instead merely fighting for promotion.
