Match Ratings vs. Wrexham

Last updated : 11 December 2005 By Rob Bristol

(6 Average)

Kevin Pilkington – 6 – Steady game. Made a couple of good saves during the first half, though kicking was, at times, a bit iffy. No chance with the goal, which I suspect was a couple of yards offside.

Emmet Friars – 6 – Did the simple things well, and didn’t try to get too fancy. An all round satisfactory performance.

Wilson: Star man
Julien Baudet – 6 – A much better performance than of late. I can only remember one mistake, when he hacked a through ball out for a throw despite Pilk's screaming at him to leave it.

Kelvin Wilson – 9 – Star man. Wilson made several clearances from inside the Notts six-yard box as Wrexham layed seige in a much one-sided first half. His reading of the situations certainly kept the score at 0-0 in the first period.

Mike Edwards – 7 – Once again, Edwards was as steady as a rock. Doesn't often get the plaudits that he deserves, but his steadying influence helped those around him.

Rob Ullathorne – 5 – Not a particularly inspiring performance. Once again, too many passes went astray.

Liam Needham – 6 – Big improvement on Tuesday night, Needham provided the cross from which Sheridan scored the opener.

David Pipe – 7 – Solid performance, had a few run-ins with Wrexham's McEvilly who was Wrexham’s best player, Pipe made sure his contribution was kept in check.

Lewis McMahon – 6 – Drifted in and out, had a low shot in the second half that flashed wide.

Glynn Hurst (Sheridan ’46)– 5 – Had a shot that Ingham parried, otherwise very little to mention. In fairness, he was subbed at half time, and the majority of the first half was played in Notts' half, so there was not much chance for Hurst to show anything.

Mark De Bolla (White ’64) – 5 – Despite his goal against Torquay, I don't think DeBolla is any improvement on the current squad. All in all a very disappointing all performance with no outstanding contribution to recall.

Substitutes

Jake Sheridan (Hurst ’46)– 7 – Showed some good touches during the second half, wasn't afraid to run at Wrexham and deserved his late goal.

Andy White (De Bolla64) – 5 – Huffed and puffed, but lacks any real threat up front. Involved in one moment of controversy when he just got to the ball ahead of Ingham, who then appeared to handle the ball outside the area.

Not Used: Marshall, Palmer, Long.
