Russell Hoult. Needs to sort out his kicking for sure, but yet another clean sheet from the stopper who has done a sterling job since his arrival. It is probably likely that it was his last Meadow Lane showing, and he deserves great credit for his help. Made one great late save from a Facey header, but in the whole wasn't called upon too heavily. 6

Lee Canoville.
Went off early doors after picking up an injury, but looked up for it before then. Was on the backfoot but was resilient enough. 6

Mike Edwards.
Another excellent performance as the skipper led by
Johnson... Simply brilliant
example throughout. Wasn't fazed by the enormity of the occassion and set the marker for everyone's performance with his endeavour. Made a couple of excellent clearances under pressure. 8

Michael Johnson.
Where would Notts be now had the returning legend decided against a move back to where it all started for him? He simply cannot be commended enough for his character, passion for the cause and, above all, ability. Another faultless showing, he rallied the troops and won everything. Deserves a medal for his part in securing the clubs safety. If he is here next year, the future will be bright, despite his ageing legs. 9

Stephen Hunt.
Very assured performance from the talented defender. Hunt put in two or three strong challenges and had the heart for the battle. Let nobody down, but his Ronaldo-esque step-overs were awful! 7

Ryan Jarvis.
Wasn't involved in the game too heavily, but worked hard down the right. Wasn't given too much opportunity to creat openings but deserves credit for battling when he needed to. 6

Neil MacKenzie.
This was a day made for the mercurial playmaker but he didn't step up to the mantle. It wasn't a bad performance, but the classy player was guilty of over-playing at times, often in the wrong places. Didn't have his shooting range with a couple of free-kicks either. 5

Richard Butcher.
Finally, the hero Notts required stepped up and it shouldn't surprise fans that it was the leading goalscorer who did so. It preserves his
Weston... Has great potential
record of scoring in every month of the season, although with only one game in May he has to score at Chesterfield next week. A priceless goal, one of the most important in Notts' history with Butcher simply in the right place, at the right time - again. Other than that he was fairly anonymous, but who cares? 7

Myles Weston.
STAR MAN. With Johnson getting a nine, it must have took some performance to beat him to the star man accolade, but Weston gave it. In the Final Thought that followed the Accrington win, NCM called on fans to persevere with his precocious talent, and today was the proof as to why. Weston bullied the Wycombe full-back, leading to his dismissal late on, and had the beating of him every single time. A scintilating run created the goal, and he caused problems with every touch. Added to that he put in a 90-minute shift for perhaps the first time, working exremely hard. One of the best individual performances seen at the Lane for some time. 9

Danny Crow.
Toiled up the top and gave his all for the cause. Wasn't presented with too many chances to show his ability on the ball however. 6

Jason Lee.
He might have had a terrible season, but Lee played a huge part in this win, make no mistake. His presence frightened the daylights out of Wycombe and he made such a difference up the top because of his frame. Unlucky with refereeing decisions, Lee battled on and brilliantly helped on the ball for Butcher to notch. 7

Subs

Adam Tann (for Canoville, 28).
Wasn't overly-exerted and did his best. 6

Lawrie Dudfield (for Crow, 76).
An excellent run saw him keep the pressure on Wycombe and get Stockley his second yellow. Helped close the game out. 7
