Average - 6

Kevin Pilkington. The in-form stopper was again on song and kept goal well. Little to do but controlled his box and saved well early on from Anthony Pilkington. The experienced man could do nothing about the goal. 7

Lee Canoville.
Poor distribution marred a fair showing where he defended
Tann... Recovered from shaky start to defend resolutely
well first and made two or three decent clearances. Improved in the second half, and made two good challenges. 6

Adam Tann.
STAR MAN. A very solid showing from the Notts skipper. He slipped up early on and was grateful to Pilkington for saving him, but other than that he was very effective. Strong in the tackle and dominant in the air, he dealt with the Stockport effect very well. Restricted them to very few chances, although he perhaps could have dont more to prevent the Hatters' equaliser. 8

Mike Edwards. Always in the right place at the right time - at both ends. Perhaps knew little about his goal, but him being there to help it in illustrated his class. Handled Liam Dickinson comfortably. 6

Stephen Hunt. A fairly passive performance from the left back. Up against the dangerous Pilkington, Hunt dealt with the threat well but did little going forward. 6

Ali Gibb. A fairly inept showing, the on-loan man never looked like creating anything for Notts and did only good work
Smith... First start under McParland
defensively. HAd a decent chance but hit wildly over. 4

Jay Smith. Fiv The returning midfielder found the going tough in a packed midfield up against three Hatters in the centre. But he dug in and got through plenty of work. The lack of space meant he struggled to impact creatively. 6

Gavin Strachan. Also found it difficult to inspore going forward but held the ball and his position effectively to thwart the Hatters' threat. Showed glimpses of quality on the ball. 7

Richard Butcher. Quiet game by his high standards, but he still provided the cross for Notts' goal. Showed glimpses of his abilities but only fleetingly. Didn't get involved as much as he'd like to on the left hand side. 6

Ryan Jarvis. Very lively in the first 20 minutes but soon faded out of the game. Jarvis seemed more intent on working back defensively than attacking as Notts held on for yet another draw. He was that deep at times it was as if he'd gone back to Nottingham early. 6
Dudfield... Too defensive

Lawrie Dudfield. Very quiet. Similarly to Jarvis in that he seemed more pre-occupied with defending and preventing their left-back attacking than getting forwards himself. 5

Subs

Gary Silk (for Smith, 76). Little action except two defensive headers and two fouls. 5

Myles Weston (for Dudfield, 79). Hit a decent shot but didn't touch the ball again. n/a
