Match Ratings v Rotherham - including Adam Tann 8

Last updated : 22 September 2007 By Gary Moss
Kevin Pilkington: Solid performance. Commanded his box very well minus
Canoville...Improved
one fumble but save wise, had very little to do. Not at fault for the Millers goal. 7

Lee Canoville: Improved display. Better with the ball and grew defensively as the game progressed. A vital block put a halt to a promising Rotherham counter-attack. 7

Adam Tann: Very Impressive. Won his headers and made several great tackles. Far more confident. 8

Stephen Hunt: Not his greatest Notts performance. Some lapses in concentration could have cost Notts. 6

Paul Mayo: Hard-working as ever. Up and down, tough in the tackle. 7

Matt Somner: Done the simple things

well and this really made a difference. Worked tirelessly, got stuck in and was very economical with the ball. His donkey work brought the best from others. 8

Richard Butcher: Poor. Never found space and done too much. His sloppy pass led to the games opener. 4

Neil MacKenzie: Odd sparks of brilliance within a fairly sound outing. Creative. Looked dangerous. 7

Lawrie Dudfield: Great out wide. Beat players and his intelligent play created openings. 7

Jason Lee: Won everything in the air. Led the line well and threaded in Dudfield and SWD well. 7

Spencer Weir-Daley: STAR MAN. At his very best. Goalscorer and always a threat. Missed a handful of chances but most of which he created himself. Showed he can

be Notts' 20-goal-a-season striker. His first club goal should bring confidence. 8

Subs:

Andy Parkinson (For Dudfield 53): Wasted two good chances and lacked end product. Rapid but done little when he got into promising positions.

Gary Silk: (For Butcher 76): N/A

Austin McCann: (For MacKenzie 85) N/A
