Russell Hoult. Horror final goal, but he was given no chance. Also wasn't helped by his defence for the third, and will have no doubt let rip at his defenders for a second half collapse. Was looking all assured before the break and can not be criticised here despite the concession of four. 6
Lee Canoville. Started OK with some no-nonsense defending but as the pace went up, he didn't deal with it and looked out of his depth. Adam Rundle

Mike Edwards. In his goalkeeper's way as Rochdale cut loose with a third, and didn't play with his usual confidence. As captain, he has to do much better than that and for all the plaudits he has rightly been given of late, he has to take the criticism for a poor display. 5
Michael Johnson. An excellent first half, so much so NCM were ready to give him the 'star man' award once more. But his second half performance took that straight away and he will want to forget that own goal immediately. Hard to criticise after his performances since he returned, but he was completely dominanted in the second half. 5
Stephen Hunt. One of the tallest men on the pitch, beaten in the air by the smallest as Rochdale netted their second. Not good enough, and he will know that. Part of a back four that conced four, and for that he needs to take his share of the blame. 5

Richard Butcher. Gave away possession far too much, and allowed Perkins and Jones to completely dominate the midfield. Was desperate to be restored into the centre, but didn't show he should stay there. In an attacking midfield, he didn't shy his defensive responsibilities but needs more bite. 5
Neil MacKenzie. Got himself a goal, but that is just for the record books as MacKenzie failed to really do himself justice. Was ring rusty, which is hardly his fault. Is it no coincidence that when he returns Notts finally score more than one goal? Forced too deep by Rochdale throughout. 6
Wayne Corden. Rightly subbed after a poor showing in which he was largely anonymous. Although he was forced onto the back foot for much of the game, it is his responsibility to get into it and he failed to show any of the class he is meant to bring. 5
Danny Crow. Got in behind Dale's back four a couple of times, showing he was up for the game, but had little by the way of service to add to Saturday's

Jason Lee. STAR MAN. If only he'd finished with as much aplomb with his early chance, the game might have took a completely different shape. Great to see him score his first of the season, and he won plenty of aerial balls. More akin to his performances of last year, but has it come too late? 7
Subs
Myles Weston (for Corden, 66). Showed his ability with a fantastic run and centre for Lee's goal. Will probably earn a start for that on Saturday, also earnt the penalty. Could do no more. 7
Spencer Weir-Daley (for Crow, 87). No time.
