Kevin Pilkington. Could do nothing with the goal and must look on from the back extremely concerned that he will have far too much to do than he would like. Two stops from one-on-one situations kept his good form going. 7
Lee Canoville.
quality, just as most in the side do. His crossing was appalling, while his passing was little better. But at least he tried, which is more than most. 6
Adam Tann.
Mike Edwards. Very poor showing from Notts' usual Mr. Reliable. After a good return to action it is hard to be too critical, but he gave the ball away too often and lost his head with a rash shot in the final stages from way out. Sloppy at best. 5
Stephen Hunt. Frightened by Joachim? Hunt dithered when Wright went through, but he did provide a great delivery for Jarvis' header. That said, a very poor night for the usually solid defender who was rightly hauled off at the break. A bad day at the office. 4
Ali Gibb. A very bad showing from the loanee. Tried his best and saw plenty of the ball but did absolutely nothing with it. His crossing was shocking, and
he continually looked to pass backwards instead of going forward. Lost his footing a lot too - though that had a lot to do with the bog standard pitch. 3
Jay Smith. Anonymous. 4
Gavin Strachan. Very efficient opening half with the former
Richard Butcher. Roamed from the left hand side but was visibly frustrated out there. Unable to have any kind of impact in open play, his good stuff continually came from set-pieces. His delivery from them was superb, and heralded Notts' best opportunities. 6
Jason Lee. Hit post with good header. Cant hold it up these days, and former team mate Alan White had him in his pocket, until Lee shoulder charged him to the floor in the biggest Notts cheer of the night - that illustrated how poor things have become. 5
Ryan Jarvis. Great header well saved, and some good link-up play early doors hinted at promise. However, in the second half he missed a decent chance but was given little else in the way of service as Notts failed to use
him. 6
Subs
Austin McCann (for Hunt, 46). Came on and hardly figured as
Myles Weston (for Strachan, 50). Bright and effective, Weston at least provided some width and tried to make things happen. If only he had that final ball. 7
Spencer Weir-Daley (for Gibb, 75). Inexplicably put on the right hand side, Weir-Daley had a couple of good runs. 6
