Russell Hoult. STAR MAN. Made several key saves in the first half, including one from point blank range. Helpless for the Spireites' leveller in
Hoult...Star Man
another great Notts performance. 8

Gary Silk. Started fairly well with some neat passing and well-timed tackles, but faded miserably making key errors. Lost his marker on far too many occassions and was distinguished as the Notts weak link at the back. 5

Michael Johnson. Superb first half showing exactly what an asset he has been since arriving at Meadow Lane on loan from Premiership outfit Derby County. Put his body on the line and made some massive blocks but slightly at fault for Chesterfield's equaliser. Hopefully not his final game for the club. 7

Paul Mayo.
Just about came out on top in NCM's big battle against Jamie Ward. Defensively extremely sound but leaves a lot to be desired going forward. His distribution must again be questioned. 6

Edwards...Cleared off line
Mike Edwards.
Proved himself again as one of League Two's top performers at centre-back. Looked calm and collective and topped his fine display off with a first half clearance off the line. 8

Wayne Corden.
Did he play? Largely isolated out of the game and showed little fight to impress. Should be his last outing for the club. Neat and tidy but never excited. 5

Richard Butcher.
Neat and tidy. Mucked in well to his defensive duties and great pass completion. Energetic as usual but showed limited adventure to turn the game. One great shot needed a strong arm to be tipped over. 6

Neil MacKenzie.
Willing to try and influence the game but gave away possession frequently. Still has plenty to offer and on another day a few more of his passes may not have gone astray. 6

Myles Weston.
Dangerous but often double-marked. Willing to run at players when he got the chance and switched sides
Weston...Switched flanks effectively
 effectively. 7

Spencer Weir-Daley.
Lively and always giving his all. Took his goal with a fine finish and certainly boosted his chance of an extended stay with the Magpies. Needs to work on holding the ball up, especially away from home but still a handful. 7

Jason Lee.
Tried to inflict his power on the game but never really settled. Often a good foil for Weir-Daley but easily marked himself. 5
