- "Bearing in mind both of these sides' defensive records, it is hard to predict a game full of goals. Michael Johnson and Mike Edwards are in fine form for the Magpies while Efe Sodje and Ben Futcher have built up a superb partnership in recent weeks for the Shakers. Chances will be few and far between. If Mansfield fail to win you'd probably have to take that as Notts have the more difficult game on paper. "

- "I can't see us scoring still, that is the big problem. The only trouble is we have to stick with Crow and Jarvis because Dudfield or Weir-Daley aren't up to it. We have to give them another go but I can't see it happening for them. Our only hope is for Butcher to pop up with one. But I'd take a point, you have to away from home, but it will make the Accrington game next week a must win with the trip to Rochdale looking extremely difficult."

- "With the pressure growing on Notts with Mansfield beating Wrexham, and in doing so, reducing the dreaded gap for the drop to just four points, Notts must go to Bury with only one aim, to win. With the right attitude I see this one going the way of the Magpies."

1-0 Magpies

- "Bury are one of the form teams in the division and have
comfortably won their last three home games. Like us, they havn't conceded many of late but, unlike us, they've managed to stick them in at the other end so it doesn't look good. Our biggest hope is after steering themselves clear of relegation trouble, they'll take their foot off the gas as they've effectively got nothing to play for. I can't see us getting away with a third successive 0-0 draw here. I think we're going to have to score and with the lack of chances being created, that could prove difficult."

                   1-0 Shakers

- "With Notts looking solid at the back, I think it would be hard for Cristiano Ronaldo to score past us, let alone Bury. We do, however, need some service up top and I think Charlie would have recognised this and done something about it - Neil MacKenzie has to play."

1-0 Magpies
