Last updated : 11 December 2005 By Richard Brown

Meadow Lane will play host to some of the game’s hottest properties, as the club hope to tempt as many supporters down as possible to ensure a lively atmosphere for the youngsters.

The match, which kicks off at 7pm, will pit the young England starlets against their Turkish counterparts, with a number of up-and-coming stars having been named in the Three Lions’ squad.

So, with little being made of those about to descend on the ‘Lane, NCM have decided to give you a comprehensive of five members of John Peacock’s capable young squad.

Scott Sinclair – Chelsea

Having made his senior debut at just 16, striker Scott Sinclair wasted little time in abandoning League Two for the Premiership when Chelsea came calling.

Rising through the Bristol Rovers academy, the front man made just two appearances – both from the bench – for Rovers, making his debut in the club’s 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient.

With a number of clubs vying for his signature during the summer, Sinclair completed the move to Stamford Bridge, where he has since earned two caps for England at youth level.

Daniel Sturridge – Manchester City

Sturridge
The 15-year old only recently made his debut for his club’s second-string, but has already intrigued some of football’s super powers with his performances for the England schoolboys. Not intent on stopping there, however, Sturridge has continued to make an impact on the international scene has been able to carry over into the under-17 set-up, netting an impressive four goals in just five games.

Sturridge – nephews of namesakes and former professionals, Dean and Simon – has been urged not to move from the City of Manchester stadium in favour of a big-money move to the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, both of whom are reported to be interested.

The youngster is currently on the look-out for his first professional contract.

David Button – Tottenham

Appearing in all of England’s UEFA Championship qualifiers and final’s matches, goalkeeper Button weighs in with vast experience for his country.

Having totted-up fourteen caps for England already, the agile ‘keeper provides the bedrock on which to build a side upon, establishing himself as the country’s first-choice ‘keeper at this level.

Jamie Chandler – Sunderland

Another experienced player listed in NCM’s pick of the crop is Sunderland midfielder, Jamie Chandler. For a club with little to cheer about of late, Chandler is most certainly considered as ‘one for the future’ by everyone on Weirside.

The Black Cats’ young starlet is just one cap short of David Button’s tally, having made thirteen appearances during the course of both the 2004/05 and 2005/06 campaigns.

Theo Walcott – Southampton

Southampton's Theo Walcott
Last, but by no means least, is the review of Southampton winger Theo Walcott. Unlikely any of his team-mates, Walcott has already established himself as a regular first team member, having made fifteen appearances already from the Saints – eight of which were starts.

Scoring a stunning lob only today live on Sky, the 16-year old Walcott has been widely touted as the next big youngster to break into the game at the very highest level. Fitting, perhaps, that is Harry Redknapp who handed him his senior bow, with Redknapp having nurtured the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Jermaine Defoe and Joe Cole during his West Ham days.

Having earned fourteen caps for England, Walcott already has been subject to offer from Jose Mourinho.

When Walcott and co. descend on the ‘Lane, make no mistake about it, we will be witnessing some of the biggest stars of the future.
