How do you assess your sides recent form?

Things are going very well for us at the moment to be honest. We went on a nine match unbeaten run that really kick started our season but a disappointing 2-0 loss at Bury was a real shame. But, we've bounced back
Mackail-Smith...In scintilating form
tremendously with a 7-0 win over Brentford and another five in the cup on Saturday. There's no better way to get back on track than winning in such a fashion. It really shows the character we've got in the squad - it's fantastic. So, we're ready.

Who is your danger man?

Well, Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron McLean have both been in great form for us. McLean has scored 16 and is the top scorer in the division while Mackail-Smith has got 11 and he didn't really start playing until a few games into the season. A lot of people thought they wouldn't be great together but they seem to be doing the business. It's hard to single one player out but I'd have to say Mackail-Smith based on his recent form. He has got blistering pace and will be one to watch.

Who else should we look out for?

Naturally McLean. He is decent in the air along with his pace and our strikers are making the difference. Also, George Boyd has been causing problems on the left. We have a policy here of trying to bring in players from non-league and it's working. They are hungry players who are willing to work hard on the training ground. At the moment it is certainly bearing fruit. We've brought a lot of players in from outside the league who have had to go straight into the team - but it is proving to work.

What do you make of the recent events at Meadow Lane?

Well the first thing that springs to mind is the disappoining defeat at the
Butcher...Notts' former Posh man a danger
weekend for Notts. I know that County are not in the best of form at the moment but that doesn't exactly mean it will be an easier game. Notts will be looking to bounce back and that is the best possible thing to have a game straight after and have a chance to put things right.

Who do you see as Notts' danger man?

I'd have to say Richard Butcher playing against his former club. He has scored a few goals already this season and old players always seem to have a habit of popping up when you return. Butch was unlucky at Posh really. He is the kind of player who likes to play games and with Keates coming on from Walsall and Charlie Lee from Tottenham, first team opportunities would have been limited. Normally you would look at the strikeforce for a danger man but Notts have been struggling for goals this season. Danny Crow would have been a great signing if he had stayed fit.

How do you rate Notts boss Charlie McParland?

Well it was a slight surprise to see him get the job when you consider the other candidates that were available. The fans seem to be behind him so it must be a good appointment. Notts County have had their financial problems and things haven't been too stable with managers coming and going so they need to look for some kind of continuity.

Where do you think you will finish this season?

Well looking at the league we are going for automatic promotion. That's what the manager and board are aiming for. We all want that. But the key will be consistency. If we can get ourselves on another good run we'll have every chance.

Where do you think Notts will finish?
Crow...One game Notts man with Posh danger McLean

I tipped them to be around the playoffs and I wouldn't rule that out yet. Looking at the top seven you would expect them all to be there minus maybe Hereford who have sprung a surprise. If Notts can get a quality striker in January there's no reason why you cannot string a run together.

What sort of encounter are you expecting?

It will be a tough game. We would probably have preferred you to win against Havant. Now, we really don't know what to expect. Notts will be up for it. The first goal will probably be the key. From a fans perspective I think it would have been better to be a Saturday game but I still expect a healthy following.

Prediction?

If we score first we'll win. I'll go for 2-1 Posh!
