Oppositions view - Morecambe

How do you assess your sides recent form?

Obviously Wolves was a massive victory for us. We've proven that we can compete against big teams with the win at Preston as well. Mansfield last Saturday was a big win for us, we needed to get that monkey of the first win off our back. We'll come into the game full of confidence.

Morecambe celebrate their historic promotion at Wembley

Who would you say is your key player?

Record signing Carl Baker will be out to score for the third game running, but our key player is Craig Stanley in midfield whose ball playing skills are of much higher quality than League Two.

Who else should we look out for?

Wayne Curtis up front does a lot of the 'donkey work' and that goes largely un-noticed but he's a very intelligent footballer.

What is the first thing you think of when you think of Notts County?

Oldest football club ever, am I right?

Who do you see as Notts' danger men?

Thompson... "A journeyman"
Neil MacKenzie in midfield I've always admired, ever since seeing him play for Blackpool a few years back.

How do you rate Notts boss Steve Thompson?

In all honesty, from afar he looks to be a bit of a journeyman. However, not knowing much about Thompson, I'll reserve judgement...

Where do you think you will finish this season?

I can see us finishing mid-table if we play like we did last week for the remainder of the season. However, I see us narrowly escaping relegation, which is good enough for me!!

Where do you think Notts will finish this season?

Upper mid table, an improvement on last season.

What is your starting line-up likely to be?
Sam... Can he net first competitive Notts goal?

Not totally sure, Sammy can throw up the odd surprise every now and again.

What sort of encounter are you expecting?

A flowing game of football I hope. If we can get the ball wide we'll cause you problems. But your firepower up front looks ominous for ourselves, but hey, this is league football, this is what we've been dreaming of for years. Bring it on!

Prediction?

1-1. Sam for you and Baker for us.
