Oppositions View - Barnet

Last updated : 05 November 2007 By Gary Moss
How do you assess your sides recent form?

The Bees have been on good form of late. Saturday was our first defeat for a while but apart from that we've deserved our results with a few good performances. I am going away to Scotland so unfortunately I am missing the Notts County game...it should be a good one though!

Barnet have had a brilliant run in the league so far. We went unbeaten in ten including wins over Chesterfield, Rotherham and Wycombe.
Puncheon... danger man

We had a fair few suspensions as the start of the season but since then the side have started to gel together.

Liam Hatch has been knocking in some goals scoring more in the last few weeks than he has in two years.

Who is your danger man?

Jason Puncheon. He jas scored six goals so far this season. He has the ability, and at the moment, the confidence to take on players and score great goals. He is a massive player for us.

Who else should we look out for?

Possibly Liam Hatch. He is always committed to winning the ball no matter what. And Ismail Yakubu...a really solid defender. Birchall can also threaten up top.

What is the first thing you think of when you think of Notts County?

Retro!!!! One of the first football clubs to be formed. Possibly the oldest club in the world with a lot of history. They've been up and down the leagues and have a lot of experience.

Butcher... Goal threat
Who do you see as Notts' danger men?

Neil MacKenzie is a good player and Richard Butcher can always score goals from midfield.

How do you rate new Notts boss Charlie McParland?

He has made a good start to life at Notts County. Maybe he has turned the corner from four straight defeats with wins over Wrexham and Accrington.

They are important wins and like Paul Fairclough it will take him so time to settle into life as manager.

Where do you think you will finish?

At the beginning of the season I said 14th but bearing in mind our recent run I am hoping we can come just outside of the play-off's. Just inside them at a push.

Where do you think Notts will finish?

About 11th I'd say. A side with a lot of potential but still need a chance to become more of a team.
Hatch... Goal machine likely to start

What is likely to be your starting line-up?

Harrison, Devera, O'Cearuill, Burton, Nicolau, Carew, Bishop, Wright, Puncheon, Hatch, Birchall.

What sort of encounter are you expecting?

Notts will certainly be looking for a result over us. It should be an entertaining game with a lot at stake.

Prediction?

Draw.
