Oppositions View - Accrington Stanley

Last updated : 01 November 2007 By Gary Moss

How do you assess your sides recent form?

It's been a bit up and down really. We started the campaign strongly with a 1-0 win over Wycombe but failed to find any real form off the back of that.

D'Sane... In scoring form
But, we're unbeaten in the last three and that included a good point away at Barnet last week - so we're certainly looking sharp.

Who would you say is your danger man?

Based on recent form probably Roscoe D'Sane. He's fitted into the side well and looks a threat. His goals have been huge to our recent form.

Who else should we look out for?

Probably Paul Mullin. We all know what he's capable of and he proves himself for us time and time again.

What is the first thing you think of when you think about Notts County?

I'm not sure. Probably the good bars around the ground. A great night out in Nottingham.

Who do you see as Notts' danger man?

Weir-Daley in action against Stanley while with Forest last season
Spencer Weir-Daley from Forest. I saw him play in a League Cup game against Stanley. He's got a lot of pace and is very dangerous. He could always find a goal.

How do you rate new Notts boss Ian McParland?

Well, I don't know too much about him but I'm guessing he's good. I know David Kevan from his Burnley days and for him to leave a secure job and go and work with him - tells me a lot. Kevan has been a big part of the backroom staff success at Burnley and he must think very highly of McParland to go to Notts. He must believe in him.

I know that McParland has a reputation for wanting to play football and that could work if you have the right players. John Coleman has the same philosophy rather than the more orthadox kick and rush tactics in League Two.

Where do you think you will finish this season?
Coleman... likes to play football

Mid-table. If we can build to be more consistent then we should be comfortable in the middle. Bodies cost us last season and to be favourites for the drop this season was a farce. We'll be ok.

Where do you think Notts will finish?

Mid-table as well. But if McParland can do a good job maybe the playoffs next season.

What sort of encounter are you expecting?

It will be a good game for the neutral. This game has goals in it and there should be a lot of good football.

Prediction?

Stanley 2-1!
