HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN SUPPORTING YOUR CLUB?
JS:
About 15 years

Scored twice for County
WILL YOU BE COMING TO MEADOW LANE FOR THE GAME? IF SO DO
YOU LIKE COMING TO THE LANE/NOTTINGHAM IN GENERAL?
JS:
I won’t be at the game on Boxing Day but I’ve been to Notts County twice before – I watched us get beat a few years ago (can’t remember the score but I think Mark Draper scored twice for County, so I’m going back a few years) and I saw us win 3-1 there in the 94/95 season.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE GAME EARLIER THIS SEASON BETWEEN THE SIDES?
JS:
We played well, and created enough chances to win comfortably but managed to waste all of them

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM YOU SIDE HAS AT THE MOMENT?
JS:
Defending, creating chances and finishing. Other than that we’re fine.

Glyn Hodges
ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR MANAGER?
JS:
Nope - our record under Glyn Hodges as caretaker boss is played 11 won 2, drawn 3 and lost 6. He seems passionate about the club but has made some dodgy tactical decisions. My personal favourite was asking the incredibly slow Lee Crooks – see below - to mark the lightning-quick Rodney Jack at Crewe. Needless to say, Jack scored and we lost…

DO YOU HAVE ANY INJURIES TO KEY PLAYERS THAT COULD MEAN THEY MISS THE GAME?
JS:
Midfielder Steve Hayward has looked good for us in the past, but has been out with a long-term injury, and I don’t know if he’ll ever play for the club again.

WHICH PLAYER WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO GET RID OF IN YOUR SQUAD AND WHY?

Crooks - "he’s overweight, rarely match fit"
JS: Tough as it is to pick just one player, I’ll go for Lee Crooks – pinching a living as a professional footballer given that he’s overweight, rarely match fit, and I’ve yet to see him have a good game for the Club

SO FAR HAS YOUR TEAM LIVED UP TO WHAT YOU EXPECTED BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED? IF NOT, WHAT NEEDS CHANGING?
JS:
I didn’t expect to get straight back into Division 1 this season, but I can’t believe how bad some of the performances have been. There’s an awful lot that needs changing, above all the attitude of the players. We have proved this season that we can beat the better teams in the Division (e.g. Cardiff) but more often than not we have turned in inept, spineless performances against teams that seem to want the three points more than we do. That’s what really upsets the fans.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU WILL FINISH THIS SEASON REALISTICALLY?
JS:
Anywhere outside the bottom four will do me just fine

HOW MANY OF YOUR FANS DO YOU EXPECT TO BE AT THE GAME?
JS:
A few hundred – more than the team deserve at the minute certainly

SCORE PREDICTION?
JS:
1-1
