LeftBack 5

On Monday it was time for another LeftBack podcast and I travelled up to Nottingham for a LeftBack Christmas podcast special thing. This really just involved letting the Forest fans have a go at me and Jared, but there we go, you can hear an occasionaly cynical comment from me in the corner! Click here to give it a listen.

"Here's what LeftBack has to say about it all:-

The bulk of this podcast was recorded about 24hours before it was announced that Hans Backe had resigned his post as Manager of Notts County. Hence the facts that:
a) We make no reference to it happening during the show
b) We didn't decide to get all clever clogs on you by renaming the show 'Backes Left' for this one episode.

We did, however, realise at the time of recording that some serious stuff was going on at Notts County. So much so that devoted Notts fan Jared thought it might be a good idea to 'man up' and let Forest fans Rich and Alex loose on the Notts slot for a change - if nothing else but to calm the storm a little towards him, Jacob and the rest of the Notts fans. It certainly seemed that the Forest reps appear to have slightly Lost That Lovin' Feeling towards the Notts County Mad recently.

However, the trick up the sleeve of the Magpies fans was to play some tunes by Notts County's very own devoted songsmith Jimmy Willan. After two episodes of being played some awful Forest anthems we thought it was payback time.

Also on this episode is the awesome Nottingham singer-songwriter Will Jeffery. Check out his rendition of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air for a very new-sounding take on an old favourite. Currently placed in the 41st slot in the LeftLion Fantasy League, he told us a bit about his team, his music, his new band and his love of kayacking.

Oh and there's some tunes by The Kull and The Pilgrim Fathers on the journey, as well as Alan's run-down of the rest of the local sports scene."
