Lester signs new Chesterfield deal

Reported Notts County target Jack Lester has today signed an extended contract at Chesterfield, which will tie him to the club for a further year until 2011. The experienced former Nottingham Forest striker had been linked with a move to Meadow Lane, due to his close relationship with Ian McParland and skipper John Thompson, but he has opted to sign a new deal with the Spireites as they head into their final season at Saltergate.

Lester will line up in Chesterfield colours against the Magpies on Wednesday August 19th, in the Magpies' second away day of the season. The full side who he'll be facing will come clear over the next few months.
