New Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido has begun his summer of signings by capturing former Notts County full back Paul Boertien on a free transfer, following his release from Walsall.

The experienced full back played five games for the Magpies on loan from Derby County back in the 03/04 season, and impressed many at Meadow Lane with his composed play. Since then he has been consistently linked with a move back to Meadow Lane but has now joined league boys Burton Albion after being released by Walsall manager Chris Hutchings last month.

Other ex-Magpies have been on the move in League Two, with Darlington centre back Alan White joining the Quakers exodus to move south to Blue Square Premier team Luton Town on a free transfer. White spent a troubled season as captain at Meadow Lane, but fell out of favour with Steve Thompson towards the end of his spell at the club and joined Peterborough on loan before moving to his hometown club.

Jake RobinsonElsewhere in League Two, Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Simpson has confirmed his second summer signing in the shape of striker Jake Robinson, who was released by Brighton last month. Robinson spent a successful loan spell at Aldershot towards the end of last season.

Darlington themselves have added two new faces in the form of released Carlisle United duo Chris Lumsdon and Jeff Smith, while Lincoln City have signed young, former Manchester United trainee striker Chris Fagan on a free transfer. Finally, Kidderminster Harriers striker Justin Richards has supposedly snubbed a move to Mansfield Town to sign for Martin Allen's Cheltenham Town.
